Description

Plot Summary

In the early stages of the Pacific War, the US military deployed its forces to the European battlefield and was unable to salvage the Philippine conflict, resulting in the capture of 10000 US and 60000 Philippine troops on the Bataan Peninsula. The Japanese army has always treated these prisoners of war cruelly, and the military decided to massacre them in January 1944. This movie tells the story of four days in January 1944. Captain Prince, a cavalryman, belonged to Colonel Muxi's team. They accepted the mission of rescuing 500 American soldiers from a prisoner of war camp during General MacArthur's northward journey. Due to the ruthless treatment of prisoners of war by the Japanese, this operation must be highly secretive. At the same time, Major Gibson (played by Joseph Fiennes) in the prisoner of war camp was struggling to survive and obtain information from the outside world. Although nurses such as Margaret tried to provide assistance to the prisoners, the shortage of medicine persisted. In order to carry out the massacre order, the military police officer Nagai took over the prisoner of war camp, and outside the camp, the cavalry soldiers finally arrived at their destination after a secret march. The success or failure of the rescue will soon be revealed
