Plot Summary

In the 1970s, in the Harlem black community, Frank Lucas (played by Denzel Washington) was the driver of gang leader Johnson. After Johnson's sudden death, Frank made full use of this hard won opportunity to reorganize the distribution of all rights in the underground world, successfully ascending to power, taking over the big business, and controlling the drug trade. During this period, he traveled to the Golden Triangle of Southeast Asia to smuggle high-purity heroin, recruited his own family brothers, and gathered a group of henchmen who worked hard for him. A dark force is emerging. On the other hand, police officer Richie Roberts (played by Lucerne Crow) has a broken family and is out of sync with mainstream society, wandering the streets in a scruffy appearance all day long. He slowly sensed the turbulence within the drug industry and launched a secret investigation. As the investigation deepens, the distance between Roberts and Lucas becomes shorter and shorter.
