Plot Summary

Karl Allen (played by Jim Carrey), who has passed the age of thirty, although he has no worries about food and clothing, his life can be described as a complete failure. I divorced my wife three years ago and have been living a single life ever since. He works in a bank, but he is basically in a state of slacking off and waiting for death, with no hope of promotion. In life, he refuses to socialize with others and instead prefers to stay at home and watch movies, as if his entire life is shrouded in a gray fog. At the suggestion of a friend, Carl came to an institution called "Mr. Good" for consultation. With the guidance of his mentor Terence Stamp, he tried to answer every question in life in a positive way. This small change turned Carl's life upside down, with honors, money, opportunities, and love coming one after another. Just as he was full of confidence, he realized that life was not as simple as he thought... This film is adapted from the autobiography of British comedian and writer Danny Wallace of the same name and won the 2009 MTV Best Comedy Performance Award (Jim Carrey).
