Description

Plot Summary

The story is divided into five chapters. During World War II, Germany occupied France, and German Colonel Hans (played by Christoph Waltz) was known as the "Jewish Hunter". During a massacre of Jews, the young girl Susanna (played by M é lanie Laurent) narrowly escaped. At the same time, eight American Jewish soldiers, led by Lieutenant Aldo (Brad Pitt), infiltrated German occupied France to assassinate German soldiers. Their actions were elusive, cruel, and posed a considerable threat to the German army, earning them the nickname "bastard". Three years later, Susanna came to Paris to inherit her aunt's cinema and met a German war hero, Frederick (played by Daniel Br ü hl), who starred in the movie "National Glory". Frederick, who fell in love with Susanna at first sight, convinced German Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels (Sylvester Groth) to premiere "National Glory" at Susanna's cinema, and Hitler (Martin Wuttke) himself would also attend. Susanna decided to burn down the cinema during the screening; Under the arrangement of Bridget (Diana Kruger), the German spy actress, the Anglo American assassination "Chino" will also act on the night of its premiere... This film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, was nominated for seven nominations, including the 82nd Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture, and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Christoph Waltz) and Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival.
