Description
Plot Summary
Xili Nashat's first feature film was adapted from the magical realism novel by Iranian author Shanash Parsipur, which was banned in 1989. The film tells the life adventures of four Iranian women in the summer of 1953, when the CIA overthrew the Iranian government, the popular Mossadegh government was overthrown, and the king regained power. The movie focuses on portraying the pursuit of change and mysterious encounters of every woman, encouraging women to fight against social taboos, and praising freedom.
