Description
Plot Summary
Iron Man Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) refuses to hand over his latest technology during a congressional hearing. At the same time, he discovered that the miniature arc reactor in his chest was rapidly causing palladium metal poisoning in the blood. Disappointed Tony handed over the CEO position of Stark Company to his secretary Boz (played by Gwyneth Paltrow), who was fully responsible for the ongoing Stark Expo in New York. Boz transferred his assistant Natalie (played by Scarlett Johansson) from the legal department to take care of Tony. Tony's high-profile appearance in front of the media has caused dissatisfaction among Ivan (played by Mickey Rourke), the son of his former colleague. In order to carry out revenge, he inherited his father's business and developed a set of equipment that could rival steel war clothes. Ivan's technology caught the attention of Tony's competitor, arms dealer Justin Hammer (played by Sam Rockwell), who managed to kidnap Ivan from prison and secretly research to replace Iron Man. Just as Tony was suffering from the frustration caused by palladium metal poisoning, he discovered that Natalie was carrying out a secret mission, and his stubbornness had also led to a rift with his friend, Air Force Colonel Ronnie (Don Cheadle), who saw the situation about to spiral out of control
