Plot Summary

28 year old woman Casey (played by Carey Mulligan) grew up in the strict boarding school of Helson, with Tommy (played by Andrew Garfield) and Ruth (played by Keira Knightley) being her two most important friends. Boys and girls spent their most youthful and romantic moments in the warm sunshine of the English countryside, and also gained sincere friendships. However, one day, the boys and girls received a shocking piece of news from Teacher Lucy (played by Sally Hawkins): Haier Sen's ultimate goal is to cultivate them into organ donors, and they must selflessly dedicate themselves to everything until the young flower of life withers. At the age of 18, they were able to leave Heilson and go to boarding schools in various places. The gloomy fate follows them like a shadow, and they will experience more in their short lives... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by British Japanese novelist Kazuo Ishiguro and won the Best Actress award (Carey Mulligan) at the 2010 British Independent Film Festival.
