Plot Summary

The story of the film takes place in Cuba in the 1940s. Chico is a young pianist who enjoys serving as a Havana nightclub guide for American girls with his best friend Ramon. There he met the genius singer Rita and they quickly fell in love, but the appearance of Chico's ex girlfriend Juana caused a misunderstanding. Under Ramon's persuasion, Rita and Chico reconciled and participated in a radio singing competition together, thus starting their music career. Afterwards, Rita was spotted by American producer Ron, who offered her a contract to develop in New York. Chico sold her piano and followed Ramon to the United States. Rita quickly became famous, but was strictly controlled by Ron. With the help of Ramon and the Cuban Revolution, Ron successfully separated a pair of lovers. In Cuba in 1948, Qi was a young pianist with a dream in his heart, while Rita was a singer with an unparalleled and beautiful voice. Their love for music and longing for romance tightly bound them together, but when they embarked on a journey of love with the traditions of Latin songs and dance, they found that this journey brought them a lot of troubles and torment. From Havana to New York, then to Paris, from Hollywood to Las Vegas, two passionate young people fight against various difficulties around them, vowing to use music and love to keep them together!
