Description
Plot Summary
The story takes place in 19th century England, where Pip (played by Jeremy Irvine) grew up in a poor family and was watched by his irritable sister and Jeff (played by Jason Flemyng). By chance, Pip arrived at a mysterious estate where his employer Miss Havenslam (played by Helena Bonham Carter) and her niece Estella (played by Holly Grainger) lived. As time passed, Pip fell deeply in love with Estella, who had a cold and noble personality. Knowing that he was not worthy of her, Pip ignited the idea of wanting to enter high society in his heart. A sudden arrival of a mysterious fortune allowed Pip to fulfill his long cherished wish. He arrived in London and began his "transformation plan", unaware that he was just a pawn on the chessboard. He thought it was time to turn the tide.
