Description
Plot Summary
Frank (played by Frank Langella), who has just entered old age, begins to experience mild symptoms of dementia, often feeling confused and unable to communicate normally with people. His two children, Hunter (James Marsden) and Madison (Liv Tyler), provide their father with a robot (voiced by Peter Sarsgaard) to take care of his daily life. At first, Frank couldn't accept this cold and aloof robot. After going through the initial adjustment, Frank realized that the omnipotent robot in front of him not only carefully took care of his daily life, but also quietly accompanied him, gently listening to his heart. Frank and the robot gradually became good friends. In order to win the favor of librarian Jennifer (played by Susan Sarandon), the robot follows Frank to play a shocking case of falling in love. This film made a stunning debut at the 2012 Sundance Independent Film Festival and won the Alfred Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival P. Sloan Feature Film Award.
