Plot Summary

After the turbulent Meiji Restoration, Japan ushered in a new era. In the tenth year of the Meiji government, an ominous aura permeated Tokyo. Evil industrialist Takeda Kanryu (played by Kagawa Shoyuki) manipulates female physician Takahashi (played by Aoi Yuki) to develop a new type of opium, openly solicits down and out warriors, and extensively acquires surrounding land, in an orderly manner to realize his wolfish ambition. During this period, the indiscriminate killing of innocent people under the name of the executioner Ba Dao Zhai by the Itadori Blade Guard (played by Takashi Yoshikawa) caught the attention of the former leader of the new selection group, Saito Ichiji (played by Yosuke Eguchi), and also forced the long anonymous Ba Dao Zhai lord, Kenshin Himura (played by Ken Sato), to appear. Fei Village, who resided in the Kamiya Dojo, gradually integrated into the peaceful life of Kamiya Kaede (played by Saki Takei) and the surrounding commoners.
