Plot Summary

Welcome to Rekall, a factory that can turn your dreams into reality. The protagonist Douglas Quaid (played by Colin Farrell) is an ordinary factory worker. Although he has a beautiful wife (played by Kate Beckinsale) and they seem to be in love, he still seems unsatisfied inside. Mind travel sounds like a perfect vacation for him to relax from his depressed life - the true memories of being a spy may be exactly what he needs. But when a terrifying anomaly occurred during this process, Quaid became a fugitive being chased. He found himself evading the police controlled by Captain Kagegen (Bryan Cranston), and there was no one Quaid could trust except for a female rebel soldier (Jessica Biel) who worked for the leader of the underground resistance organization (Bill Nighy). The boundary between fantasy and reality becomes blurred, and his fate is uncertain as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true destiny. This film is adapted from Philip K. Dick's famous short story 'We Can Remember It For You Wholesale'.
