Description
Plot Summary
The story begins with an unknown writer (played by Jude Law) who, in order to focus on his creative work, goes to a restaurant called "Budapest". Here, the writer meets the owner of the restaurant, Mustafa (played by F. Murray Abraham), who invites the writer to dinner. During the meal, he tells the writer about the past and present of this weathered hotel. The former owner of the restaurant was named Gustavo (played by Ralph Fiennes), and the young Mustafa (played by Tony Revolori) was just a small doorman following him at the time. Gustavo was upright, astute, and capable. Under his management and organization, the Grand Budapest Hotel became one of the top vacation destinations at the time. Gustavo and the elderly Mrs. D (played by Tilda Swinton) fell in love. After Mrs. D passed away, she left a priceless painting to Gustavo in her will, which angered her son Dimitri (played by Adrien Brody), and the misfortune of the Budapest Grand Hotel and Gustavo began.
