Description
Plot Summary
During World War II, a fighter jet piloted by former Olympic long-distance runner Louis Zamberini (played by Jack O'Connell) crashed unexpectedly. Louis and two other crew members drifted at sea for 47 days before being imprisoned by the Japanese Navy for a long time and held by one of the officers, Nagano Watanabe (played by Katsuya Ishihara Miyavi) The film is directed and produced by Angelina Jolie, and is adapted from the true experience of former Olympic long-distance runner Louis Zamberini. It condenses his experiences as a street child, Olympic athlete, and personal ups and downs during World War II. Louis, who is 97 years old, personally explains the story.
