Plot Summary

At an art auction held in Manhattan, USA, Van Gogh, who was once believed to have been destroyed by World War II air raids, made a stunning debut by personally copying the Sunflower Series No. 2 painting. Suzuki Jiro (voiced by Kenzo Tomita), a wealthy advisor to the Suzuki consortium, rode a horse to the top and acquired him for a staggering $300 million. At a subsequent press conference, Suzuki announced that he would gather sunflower paintings scattered among collectors around the world in Japan for a dream exhibition.
