Plot Summary

This film is adapted from the original work of manga artist Daisuke Igarashi and is set in a big city where she cannot blend in with the hustle and bustle. The ordinary girl Ichiko (played by Ai Hashimoto) chooses to return to her hometown of Komori Village in northeastern Japan, where she grew up since childhood. There is not much fashionable and civilized color here, and the locals live a traditional life of working from sunrise to sunset. They rely on the weather to make a living and rely on their hands to manage their lives. Although life is not wealthy, one's heart is filled with fulfillment and joy. Influenced by her mother (played by Kaoru Kirishima), Ichiko seems to have a particularly strong interest in making various delicious and inexpensive dishes by herself. My mother has been missing for a long time, and memories and reenactment of cooking have become a unique way of communication between mother and daughter. Moreover, there are various ingredients sourced from nature, how can we waste our precious time and resources? Accompanied by her friends Kiko (played by Momo Matsuoka) and Yuta (played by Takada Miura), Ichiko quietly walked through spring, summer, autumn, and winter...
