Description
Plot Summary
Sergeant John Kinley (played by Jack Gyllenhaal) is on his final mission in Afghanistan, investigating the area with local translator Ahmed. Their troops were ambushed during their patrol, and the two became the only survivors. Under the pursuit of the enemy, Ahmed risked his life and led injured Jinli through miles of rough terrain to reach safety. After returning to the mainland of the United States, Jinli learned that Ahmed and his family were not allowed to go to the United States as promised. He was determined to protect this friend and repay their kindness, and returned to the war zone to rescue Ahmed and his family before the local militia arrived.
