Plot Summary

In the black neighborhoods of the western United States, violence and crime are happening almost at any time. The wandering youth on the streets and the smelly corpses in the grass adorn the daily lives of elementary school student Tyrell Steele and his friends. Tyrell is a talkative and competitive person who fights with his classmates in class. For the sake of his education, his mother sends Tyrell to his ex husband, Forrest (played by Laurence Fishburne). His father has a strong personality, and Tyrell grows up under his guidance... Seven years later, Tyrell (played by Cooper Gooding Cuba Gooding Jr.) As a young man, the chaotic situation in the black neighborhood has not improved, and Tilly and his friends are involved in a fateful street feud...
