Description
Plot Summary
Ellie Elovey (played by Judy Foster) has had a special fondness for wireless communication since childhood. As she grew up, she became an astronomer whose project involved receiving signals from outer space. She hopes to find the existence of other civilizations in the universe through this. The ideal of genius was met with cold eyes from investors, but fortunately, a mysterious person helped Ellie continue her work. By chance, Ellie received a frequency signal from Vega, which seemed to prove that Ellie's work had always been correct. But what this brings is not the success of her personal career, but the contradictions and discussions from various perspectives such as politics, society, religion, and the country. Ellie, who is deeply trapped in the center of all these storms, has to face the emotional entanglement with the clergyman Palmer Joss (played by Matthew McConaughey). Individuals and the world, truth and reality, Ellie faces challenges far beyond academic scope.
