Description
Plot Summary
Known as director Stephen Busey's best work to date, starring Vincent Linton, the film won the Best Actor award at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in 2015. The title of "Measuring a Man" is taken from Plato's famous quote: "The measure of a man is what he does with power. The plot tells the story of a middle-aged unemployed father who struggles to find a job. After experiencing various humiliating interviews and training courses, he finally finds a job as a supermarket guard that he hates, but has the supreme power to monitor customers and peers. But he was forced to uncover the petty thieves who were stealing in the supermarket, and these people were all just like him, belonging to the same group of people who had no future. This is Vincent Linton's third collaboration with director Stephen Busey. Apart from Vincent Linton, all other actors in the film are amateurs, showcasing a different dramatic power than before. It is hailed as Stephen Busey's best work to date.
