Plot Summary

Lushan is a fault block mountain with various landforms such as rivers, lakes, slopes, and peaks. It is considered a typical area of Quaternary glacier development in China and enjoys the title of "World Geopark". The main peak, Dayang Peak, has an elevation of 1474 meters. Surrounding peaks are numerous ravines, caves, waterfalls, and streams, with complex and diverse landforms. Lushan began to develop 1 billion years ago, and about 20 million years ago during the Himalayan orogeny, it rose to become the Broken Soul Mountain. During the Quaternary glaciation from 3 million to 10000 years ago, Mount Lu rose strongly, and many fault structures formed numerous peaks. As Mount Lu rose, the surrounding area relatively sank, and the Poyang Lake Basin further developed, forming Poyang Lake. The northern region is dominated by folded structures, forming a series of valley and ridge landforms; The southern and northwestern regions are a series of fault cliffs. Wide valleys and canyons are distributed in mountainous areas, with terraces and valley terraces developed on the periphery. Due to the numerous unique peaks and steep ridges formed by fault block structures, the group peak structures of Lushan also exhibit diverse characteristics.
