Description
Plot Summary
Adapted from the 2009 Pulitzer Prize winning novel. On the coast, in the peaceful town of Crosby, the hot tempered Olive Kitterich has a "gentleman like" husband and a son who is increasingly estranged from her. Life may seem stagnant, but there are hidden currents surging. In the town, Olive also acted as a passerby for other life experiences, intentionally or unintentionally: a melancholic young man who wanted to commit suicide, a young girl suffering from anorexia, an unmarried woman who had been playing piano in a bar for years... These hungry and dreamy people struggled and wandered between desire and loneliness. She looked at the world with a cold eye and chewed on the loneliness and embarrassment of life with great clarity.
