Plot Summary

In a town in Texas, Sheriff John T Chance (played by John Wayne) and Deputy Sheriff Drunken Dude (played by Dean Martin) bring the notorious Joe Burdette to justice and imprison him, along with another officer named Stumpy (played by Walter Brennan) who is lame, waiting for the arrival of the interrogator a few days later. At this moment, Chan's old friend Pat Wheeler happened to pass by and introduced him to a boy named Colorado Ryan (played by Ricky Nelson). And Chance also met a woman named Feather (played by Angie Dickinson) in a hotel. Joe's brother Nathan and his men are coming to rob the prison. First, they sent someone to kill Pat, and then they repeatedly tried to use Dude to threaten Chance to release him. Chance and his team engaged in a battle of wits and courage, during which he discovered Colorado's bravery and recruited him into the police force; And how does the alcoholic Dude fight against his alcoholism to regain his dignity? Can Chance lead an alcoholic, a cripple, and a boy to overcome Nathan's repeated advances?
