Plot Summary

Among the films with trains as the main narrative stage, John Frankenheimer's war action film is an unforgettable masterpiece. The background of the story is towards the end of World War II, when the German army saw that the situation was hopeless. The German commander Paul Schofield, who was deeply saddened by the priceless art, ordered a batch of famous French paintings to be moved back to Germany from museums. The driver responsible for driving this train, Bert Lancaster, continued to cooperate with French railway personnel and underground guerrillas under close surveillance, using various methods such as deceiving and deceiving the German army to ensure that the national treasure would not leave the country. The plot structure of the entire film is rigorous, the atmosphere is compact and vivid, and there are often exciting scenes that make people sweat. The performances of the two male protagonists were full of tension as they faced off against each other, showcasing their respective patriotism.
